Note: The 1.03 patch will not be available for Mac users due to the issue with the link to the download. We are working on a fix for this. A notification will be available on this page once the fix is made.

In order to use this patch please ensure that you are using the latest version of The Lord of the Rings: the Battle for Middle-earth II.
To install this patch please make sure you have the latest version of The Lord of the Rings: the Battle for Middle-earth II from our online store installed.
We strongly recommend updating your game to the latest version when patch 1.03 or later is applied.
If you have already installed the update to version 1.03, you can uninstall the update via the in-game “Uninstall Updates” option in the main menu. Please be aware that it is not possible to downgrade to an earlier version from version 1.03 or later. If you wish to play on earlier versions, we recommend installing the patch again.
To install the patch, please right click on The Lord of the Rings: the Battle for Middle-earth II in your Steam games library and select “Properties”. Select the "BETAS" tab and check the "Steam Beta" box. You will then need to restart your Steam client. You can then proceed to the installation page.

The battle pool will now show progress at the start of battle.
A warning message will appear if a character that is not in your party arrives in a party of mixed sex.
Fixed a bug where an item could not be placed in a bag if it has an extended description text.
Fixed a bug where some items could be duplicated if a character used a move that was used against them.
Fixed a bug where your characters would get locked out of the battle pool if they were in the lobby
